A Place in the Sun

Thanks for your interest in A Place in the Sun. You'll find it to be family-friendly, roomy yet cozy, and with just the right OBX "beach house" vibe. And the beach you came for is just two neighborhood blocks away!

A Place in the Sun is located at the end of a cul-de-sac (so traffic is minimal) and offers a private pool, two master bedrooms and three others, four full bathrooms, seven TVs, a pool table, VCRs and DVD players, and a large screened porch. Other popular features include a whirlpool tub, high-speed Internet access, a charcoal grill and an outdoor shower. A gas fireplace is available in the off-season.

The house is located in Ocean Sands, one the best destinations on the island -- private, but not too remote, and just around the corner from an amazing variety of shops, restaurants and entertainment.

We want you to love this house! And to that end, we spend much of the off-season making improvements. Just since last summer, we've painted several rooms and have brought in many new furniture pieces and accessories.

We also intend to make your stay as chill as possible. The beach carts provided make it easy to wheel your base camp surfside. A large pond with a running path is a block away. There are a number of kid/teen bikes for your use and adult bikes can be rented down the street. Shopping, dining, groceries, a Brew-Thru (an OBX favorite), and even movie theaters are less than a mile away.

Back at the house, hang out poolside, on the screen porch, or on any one of four decks. Inside, there's a gathering area on each floor, with an open kitchen/dining/living area on the top level where you also have your choice of two large decks.

Linens and towels are furnished and you'll find the beds made when get here. A starter set of toilet paper, paper towels and hand soaps is provided and Village Realty will clean the house before your arrival on Saturday.
